1. When a 14-day right may apply
If you are acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession and the contract is concluded online, by telephone, at your home or otherwise away from our business premises, you may have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason.
The period normally begins on the day after the service contract is made. Different rules can apply to contracts involving goods, mixed contracts, urgent repairs and bespoke items.
2. How to cancel
Send a clear statement that you wish to cancel before the period expires. You can email support@hampdenstone.com, telephone 0330 088 2373, or write to Hampden Stone Limited, 55 Birley Moor Avenue, Sheffield, England, S12 3AR.
You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Keep evidence that the notice was sent.
3. Starting work during the cancellation period
We will not normally start an eligible service during the cancellation period unless you make an express request. If you ask us to begin and then cancel, you must pay a proportionate amount for the Services properly supplied up to the time you tell us to stop.
If the Services are fully performed during the period after your express request and acknowledgement that the right will be lost on full performance, the cancellation right may end.
4. Urgent repairs
The right to cancel does not generally apply to the specific visit and work you expressly request for urgent repairs or maintenance. Additional services or goods supplied at the same time may still be covered by the normal rules unless another exception applies.
5. Bespoke goods and committed costs
Certain made-to-measure or clearly personalised goods may fall outside the normal cancellation right. If we order bespoke or non-returnable items, the proposal will identify them where reasonably possible. This does not remove rights relating to faulty goods or misdescribed services.
6. Refunds after a valid cancellation
Where a refund is due, we will make it without undue delay and normally within 14 days after being informed of the cancellation, using the original payment method unless another method is agreed. We may deduct the lawful proportion for Services supplied at your express request before cancellation.
